Combining timelapse and drone photography into short landscape films is a very therapeutic pastime for me. In contrast to still photography, film communicates the energy and impact of a location in an exceptionally distinct way.

Enjoy timelapse and drone footage of the dozen or so volcanic plugs that make up this unique group of mountains, with special focus on Mounts Beerwah, Coonowrin, Tibrogargan, and Ngungun.

This short film focuses on the harsh beauty of the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. After massive bushfires tore through in the summer of 2019, I was struck by the resilience of the bush. I wanted to create a piece with very little camera movement that reflects the austere jurassic sandstone structures and blackened dead banksia trees that stand on permanent watch like guardians over the landscape.
