Kata Tjuṯa, N.T.

Kata Tjuṯa means “many heads” and lies 25km to the west of Uluṟu. This incredible formation of massive domed rocks may not be as famous as its neighbour, but it is just as spectacular and memorable. In places it rises more almost 200 metres higher than Uluṟu’s, and is home to incredible lookouts and gorges. The site is of great cultural significance to the Aṉangu, who have inhabited the area for many thousands of years.
