Bombo Headland, N.S.W

On the Bombo Headland, two hours drive south from Sydney, lies an old, disused rock quarry that supplied Sydney with basalt in the 1800’s. It is extremely popular among landscape photographers due to the otherworldly feel created by the quarry works juxtaposed with the pounding ocean waves. The location is best suited to sunrises and astrophotography.
